Perth open late: Voodoo’s top 5 coffee cocktail nightspots

Heading out for a few drinks in the city tonight? With Perth’s burgeoning bar scene there’s definitely no shortage of options, and here at Voodoo Coffee, we like to let the good times roll long after you leave our late night coffee bar.

Coffee in a cocktail? Oh yess please! We’ve taken the liberty of tracking down the best bars in Perth (someone’s gotta do it) that are mixing up our favourite ingredient – coffee into your late night beverage list.

So, here’s our hit list starting with…

Bar Lafayette
When it comes to cocktails these guys don’t muck around. The artisan cocktail bar at Brookfield Place fronts an extensive list of more than 40 cocktail creations, but let’s skip to the one that caught our eye – the Maestro Ronero.

The fact they handmake their own espresso liqueur is enough to give it a try. Stirred over smoke with Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva rum, maple syrup, and pecan and coffee bitter. You can enjoy this sensation served on the rocks.

Halford

Located in the basement safe room of the 1897 Titles Building, Halford is particularly known for their eclectic whiskey collection, but they also present a bang-on cocktail list.

Their take on the classic espresso martini is the Cold Brew Martini, which includes Plantation rum, cold brew coffee, Mr Black coffee liqueur and ginger mixed by their highly seasoned bar tenders.
The Laneway Lounge

Tell the internationally trained mixologists at The Laneway Lounge you’re after a coffee fix and you won’t be disappointed. The Lexington Hill Espresso Martini features Melbourne roasted drip coffee, quadruple distilled grain vodka, Continental Crème de Cacao and a touch of sugar syrup served straight up with fresh coffee beans.

Long Chim Perth

If you love Thai food then put Long Chim on your shortlist. Their signature cocktail menu is also Thai inspired, and whilst the Kafe Mao sounds modest combining Thai coffee, milk and vodka – the taste will surprise you. You can find Long Chim in the basement of Perth’s vibrant State Buildings complex (corner St Georges Terrace and Barrack Street).

Wolf Lane

Rounding off our top 5 is tucked away in Wolf Lane. If you haven’t visited this twisted storybook den then you should! And of course when you do stop by, make sure you hit the bartender up for the Grimm’s Medicine, a delicious concoction of Kahlua, Baileys and Triple Sec.

Next time you’re looking for things to do in Perth at night, why not check out these bars and give us your verdict on which coffee mix you like the best.
